Biography

K.W. Hall made the leap into romance writing at the beginning of 2021. She hasn’t looked back after leaving her career as a registered nurse to pursue her dream of writing steamy romance novels. In her previous life, she completed a lot of different degrees in various fields including a Master’s of Exercise Physiology. She is an anthropologist at heart— it was her first love in college. After years of searching, she realized creating new worlds of romance and adventure was her calling.

Raised as an Army brat, K.W. lived all over the southern United States during her childhood. She moved from city to city while books remained a constant joy in her life. Today, K.W. is still a bit of a nomad, exploring new lands whenever possible. She currently resides in Honolulu, Hawaii with her own warrior husband. When not reading or writing, she can be found running the sandy beaches of Oahu. Okay, that wasn’t completely truthful. More likely, she is staring at the waves with a drink in her hand.

The Songs of Fate

“This brand-new fantasy romance novel HAS to be your next read. It’s action packed and tugs at your emotions from the start! The first chapter had me feeling all kinds of emotions for Charlie, and it just got better. Mixed with fantasy, romance, and mystery, you follow Charlie on this journey of self discovery when strange things start happening to her that can’t be explained without her looking like a crazy person (as per her psychiatrists) after the death of her husband. She meets friend, and more than friends 😏, along the way. She learns a lot about herself and the world. I couldn’t put it down!”

The Songs of Fate

It's such an intriguing story. The plot is unique and enthralling. It's a slow burn with a steady pace. It's a nice mix of suspense and romance. Also, it managed to smoothly blend the world of fantasy with the human. It started with vague descriptions of what was happening and slowly it revealed the more crucial subjects. I loved the characters, there was such diversity among them.
My favorites were Charlie and Lana, those two were a great pair. Her dreams were one of the best parts of the book along with the big revelation of what she was…”

The Songs of Fate

It’s been long, that I didn’t pick a fantasy read because I was waiting for something that will blow my mind and will transport me to an unforgettable world and I discovered this book by Hall and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

The perfect blend of fantasy with romance and magical elements that adds so well to the story. The book is built in layers, the characters are written in layers, by this I mean is when you first meet the characters and the way they grow you feel like they’re new and they have gradually grown over the course. It’s a book about discovering yourself, to know who you are and to accept and admire and carry it elegantly. I loved the settings and world buildings, it’s all so worth it watch the way things were happening. The language is intriguing, the author is a master storyteller and grabbed my attention even in terms of writing from the very first fifty pages.

I’m also obsessed with the protagonist, I could relate a lot with her characteristics. A wonderful story that has everything, a bit drama, fun, emotions and actions. If you enjoy fantasy books and wanna read something that’s heart warming and fierce, then pick it up without a second thought. I will highly recommend it to everyone especially for YA and fantasy lovers.

Satisfying Secrets

I cannot get over how much I love this book! Lena and Jake are such rich characters on their own, with their own goals and secrets, but together they make such an amazing will-they-won't-they couple with the perfect amount of push and pull. Plus, their chemistry pretty much leaps off the page with every other sentence, and when they do have intimate moments, even a kiss...whew, I had to make sure I hadn't caught fire myself, it was so hot! Hall is such a great writer - every detail is thought through and just when you think it can't get hotter, or more on the edge of your seat (particularly when Lena's uncle comes around to pull them apart), it just gets even better! I also loved that even though we have the typical external factors of a romance - forbidden due to her uncle being her boss - there are still so many more layers that make you wonder if they can make it work. Characters full of depth, hot hot HOT romance, and a story that will make you smile, laugh, tear up, and cheer. I can't wait to read another romance from KW Hall!!”

The Songs of Fate

This was an unexpected read for me, but in a very good way! This seems to be inspired by a certain mythology, but I don't want to spoil what. I loved the seamless way the author wove the story together blending modern day with mythology, it was well done! I loved the suspense, mystery, and twists in this book too! I mean I never really knew what was going to happen, and I certainly did NOT know what I was getting into once I reached about 50% into the book!

I also really liked Charlie, she is very relatable as a person, and I enjoyed watching Charlie learn more about herself and what she's capable of. She's also quite hilarious!

I don't want to spoil too much since I think it's part of the experience of this book, so you will just have to read it! Thank you to the author for sending me a free gifted copy to read, all thoughts and opinions are my own. 5/5 ⭐️

Common Questions

  • I have always been an avid dreamer. During the day, I’d play scenes in my head pretending I was someone else. The strange and detailed dreams I had at night I’d remember when I woke in the morning. I started journaling my dreams because they were so detailed. This process led to the plot for “The Songs of Fate” and many other novels!

  • All of my novels are romance with a plot that keeps you avidly reading until the VERY LAST PAGE. I have always believed romance novels can be so exciting they keep you on the edge of your seat until the final words. This is what I strive to do with every novel. Unlike other romance novels where you might be able to guess the ending, I like to give you a surprise each time. My advice to readers? Always stay tuned through every epilogue.

  • I believe love is magic—in the real word and in books. I started reading steamy romance novels long before I was a teenager (sorry mom, I stole them from you). I never stopped falling in love with the characters. When I discovered my love went beyond reading and into writing, the stories of love were already filling the pages while my fingers hit they keys. I can’t help it. I am a romantic at heart.

  • I wake-up early with LOTS of coffee. I love to journal for a bit as the sun rises and read for a few minutes something that inspires me. Then I go for a long run or bike ride through my neighborhood on Oahu. Once I feel relaxed, I write and write. I try to avoid thinking about how people will view the book. Instead, I focus on the characters and let them tell me where the story should lead. I write most days or work on edits, but it never feels like work because I truly love what I do.

  • Absolutely! Usually, I snack on anything I can smother in PeanutButter: apples, bananas, carrots. If my house is void of all fruits or veggie options, I will eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon… I have no shame!

  • Write what you love to read. It will flow more naturally the more joy you have for the genre or topic. Most importantly, don’t take anything people say personally. You know your work better than anyone. If you believe in it, then there are readers who will love it, too. Keep writing!
